The Tourmentin is a life jacket designed for long-distance sailing and heavy-duty use. Its buoyancy of 150 newtons makes it suitable for use in all sailing areas, and its buoyancy chamber contains a complete survival kit: a flashlight, a signal mirror, a whistle, storage nets, and a throw line\u2014all fully integrated. <\/p>\n

The horseshoe-shaped design, Cordura cover, and dual leg straps ensure a secure fit without sacrificing comfort, even when worn for hours on end. The integrated paragliding harness buckle allows for attachment to a lifeline. Automatic release upon contact with water (UML-e starch-activated trigger) or manual release on demand. <\/p>\n

Like the rest of the line, the Tourmentin can be disassembled into three separate components\u2014the cover, the air bladder, and the straps\u2014which can be replaced individually. Folding and reassembly remain simple, with video tutorials available on the Certec YouTube channel. <\/p>\n
