Inflatable regatta buoy
Inflatable regatta buoys are used to precisely mark a course on the water, whether for sailing competitions, training sessions, or nautical events. They act as floating markers that are visible from a distance, allowing competitors and organizers to clearly identify the start, turning, and finish points, which is essential for safety and the smooth running of the events.
There are generally three main shapes in the regatta category, each suited to a specific use:
→ Cylindrical: the most classic shape: a vertical inflatable column that is clearly visible from a distance, stable and easy to spot throughout the race.
→ Conical: a cone-shaped silhouette that offers good stability while often requiring less ballast, ideal for medium-length courses or temporary installations.
→ Tetrahedral: pyramid shape with three sides, particularly stable on the water and suitable for long distances or courses where the buoy must remain in place despite wind and choppy water.
Thanks to these varied shapes, inflatable regatta buoys combine visibility, ease of installation, and stability, while remaining lightweight and portable when deflated, which simplifies setup and storage between nautical outings.
