Certec is an innovative French company specializing in the manufacture of inflatable and waterproof products, mainly for the first-aid, boating and personal protection sectors.
Certec offers a wide range of products, including immobilization mattresses, inflatable life jackets, tanks, inflatable tarpaulins, and even customized solutions for specific projects. Our expertise also covers equipment for rescue services, water sports and industrial site protection.
Our manufacturing is 100% French, and our approach is focused on high-quality products tailored to the specific needs of our customers.
Certec is based in Sourcieux-les-Mines, near Lyon, and has around 15 employees and sales of 2 million euros.
History
Certec was founded in 1982 by Pierre Jaricot near Lyon, France. In its early days, it was a design office under the name Conception Études et Réalisations Techniques (hence the acronym CERTEC), specializing in the design of machines for handling and lifting.
In 1989, the company took a decisive turn by focusing on high-frequency welding of technical fabrics, such as PVC-coated textiles, enabling it to specialize in the creation of inflatable and watertight products. This shift marked the beginning of its diversification into a variety of markets, including emergency rescue, boating, environmental protection, and equipment for military and industrial sectors.
100% French manufacturing, recognized expertise
Over the years, CERTEC has developed recognized expertise in the manufacture of custom-made products, specifically designed to meet the unique needs of its clients. The company has maintained a local production strategy in France, thereby ensuring 100% French manufacturing and a constant focus on the superior quality of its products.
Today, CERTEC employs around 15 people and generates annual revenue of approximately €2 million. Thanks to its in-house design office and full control over the manufacturing process—from raw materials to finished products—the company is renowned for providing solutions that often exceed current standards.

CERTEC specializes in the manufacture of immobilization equipment for victim evacuation, including vacuum mattresses and splints, hyperbaric chambers, soft stretchers, and much more. These products are designed to ensure the safety and comfort of victims while facilitating their transport in emergency situations.
We supply our solutions to numerous emergency services, such as fire departments and rescue teams, which use our equipment during critical operations. While these products are essential for rescue missions, it is hoped that no one will ever have to face such situations in their personal life.
